Five Killed After Car Crashes Into Truck in Chhattisgarh’s Jashpur

Jashpur— Five people died after the car they were travelling in collided with a truck in Chhattisgarh’s Jashpur district early Sunday, police said.

The crash took place near Patratoli village under the Duldula police station limits when the group was on its way to Jashpur. According to a police official, the impact of the collision was so intense that the car was left completely crushed, leaving all five occupants dead on the spot.

Villagers rushed to the location soon after the accident and alerted authorities. The Duldula police team, assisted by locals, pulled the bodies from the wreckage and sent them to the Community Health Centre for post-mortem.

Preliminary information suggests that the victims were residents of the Charaidand area, though their identities are still being verified, the official added.
