PANAJI — A Delhi-bound IndiGo flight carrying over 200 passengers made an emergency landing at Manohar International Airport in Goa on Tuesday morning after experiencing a mid-air technical snag in one of its engines shortly after departure. The aircraft, operating flight 6E 2102, was scheduled to touch down in the national capital at 11:45 a.m. but was forced to turn back following the onboard malfunction.

The flight had departed Goa and was cruising at an altitude of approximately 14,000 feet off the southern coast of Maharashtra when the cockpit crew detected the engine issue. In accordance with standard aviation safety protocols, the pilots initiated an immediate turnaround toward Goa, prompting Air Traffic Control to declare a full emergency at the airport around 9:30 a.m. to prepare emergency response teams on the ground.

The aircraft touched down safely at the airport, and all passengers and crew members disembarked without injury. The airline confirmed that the plane has been grounded for thorough technical inspections and maintenance checks, while alternative travel arrangements and refreshments were organized for the stranded travellers to reach their destination.
