New Delhi: In a significant relief for hoteliers, restaurateurs, and commercial establishments, the prices of commercial Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders have been reduced across the country. As seen in image_ba479f.jpg, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has been slashed by ₹183. This adjustment marks the very first price reduction since the outbreak of the US-Iran conflict earlier this year on February 28.
With this latest downward revision, the retail consumer price for a 19-kg commercial cylinder in Delhi drops to ₹2,930. The price cut comes as a welcome breather for commercial consumers who have been grappling with skyrocketing fuel and energy costs over the past few months due to global supply disruptions.
Prior to this relief, commercial LPG rates experienced a massive upward trajectory. State-owned fuel retailers had implemented a steep hike of ₹993 per cylinder on May 1, which was closely followed by another incremental increase of ₹42 on June 1. While the current reduction of ₹183 only partially offsets the previous hikes, it signals a potential stabilizing trend in international energy markets.
