New Delhi: Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is set to visit Andhra Pradesh on Monday for high-level discussions aimed at deepening collaboration in healthcare and artificial intelligence with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

Gates is scheduled to arrive at the State Secretariat in the morning, where he will meet Naidu along with IT Minister Nara Lokesh and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. Urban Development Minister P. Narayana confirmed that the visit will focus on strengthening ongoing partnerships and exploring new avenues in public health and emerging technologies.

According to officials, the Chief Minister is expected to request an expansion of existing health initiatives supported by the Gates Foundation. The foundation is currently engaged in projects in Kuppam in Chittoor district, and the state government is keen to replicate and scale these models across Andhra Pradesh.

Artificial intelligence is likely to be another key theme of the meeting. The leadership is expected to deliberate on integrating AI-driven solutions into healthcare delivery, governance systems and rural development programs.

During his visit, Gates will also be briefed on the state’s Real Time Governance System (RTGS), a technology-driven platform used for administrative monitoring and service delivery. Naidu is expected to demonstrate how data analytics and digital dashboards are being used to improve transparency and efficiency.

Government sources said the Chief Minister will additionally outline his long-term “Golden Andhra 2047” roadmap, highlighting reforms in medical technology, diagnostics and the Sanjivani digital health records initiative.

Later in the day, Gates and his delegation are scheduled to visit an agricultural facility in Undavalli village in Amaravati to observe the use of drones and AI applications in farming practices.

This marks Gates’ return to the region after earlier visits to the undivided state. Officials said the current trip follows an invitation extended by Naidu to further strengthen cooperation between the state government and the foundation in technology-led development.
