New Delhi: Bank customers across India are advised to plan their transactions carefully as multiple banks will remain closed during the last week of September 2025. According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday calendar, regional holidays combined with weekends will affect branch operations, making it essential for account holders to manage cash withdrawals, cheque deposits, loan applications, and other banking activities in advance.

On September 22, branches in Jaipur, Rajasthan, will remain closed for Navratri Sthapna, while Telangana observes the Bathukamma festival. September 23 will see closures in Jammu and Srinagar for Maharaja Hari Singh’s birth anniversary and in Haryana for Veer Shaheedi Diwas. Nationwide closures are also scheduled on September 27 for the fourth Saturday of the month and on September 28 for the regular Sunday holiday.

Customers are encouraged to check with their local branches before planning any transactions. Digital channels, including UPI, mobile banking, internet banking, and ATMs, will continue to function as usual, allowing fund transfers, bill payments, and other essential banking services. Businesses dependent on cheque clearances, loan processing, or other branch services are advised to complete critical transactions ahead of these holidays to avoid delays. While most banks follow the RBI calendar, some states may announce additional holidays for local events or festivals, so customers should stay updated with their branches.
