CHANDIGARH, March 26, 2026: Marking four years of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the party launched a large statewide campaign titled “Shandaar 4 Saal, Bhagwant Mann de Naal.”
Under this campaign, ministers, MLAs and constituency in-charges reached out to people across nearly 1,000 villages and urban wards in a single day. They shared the government’s work and listened to public feedback. The campaign saw strong participation, with many people expressing satisfaction with governance and welfare schemes.
Focus on Education, Power and Jobs
In Sham Chaurasi, Cabinet Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh said that Punjab’s government schools are now being praised across the country. He said more than 28,000 teachers have been recruited in a transparent way and trained in countries like Finland and Singapore. As a result, students are now clearing exams like JEE and NEET.
In Ludhiana West, Power Minister Sanjeev Arora said that 90% of households in Punjab are now getting zero electricity bills. He added that people are also getting 24-hour uninterrupted power supply.

In Bhoa, Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak said the government is taking strong action against drugs, with over 92,000 smugglers arrested. He also said that 65,000 government jobs have been given on merit, without any bribery or recommendation.
Healthcare, Women Welfare and Farmers Support
In Jandiala, Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO said that 985 Aam Aadmi Clinics are working across Punjab and over 5 crore people have received free treatment. He added that families are now getting up to ₹10 lakh of free cashless treatment.
In Malout, Cabinet Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur spoke about women welfare schemes. She said that under the “Mawan-Dhian Satkar Yojana,” women will get ₹1,000 per month and women from SC communities will get ₹1,500 per month from Baisakhi. Free bus travel has also helped women travel safely and easily.
In Jalandhar West, Minister Mohinder Bhagat said that farmers are getting free electricity during the daytime. He added that canal water has reached fields even at the tail end, and crop payments are now transferred to farmers’ bank accounts within 24 hours.
Infrastructure and Welfare Push
In Lehra, Minister Barinder Kumar Goyal said that senior citizens are being given free pilgrimage facilities. Families of soldiers who lose their lives are being given ₹1 crore compensation, which is among the highest in the country.
He also said that the ‘Sadak Surakhya Force’ has helped reduce road accident deaths by 50%. Over the last four years, 40,000 km of roads, 9,000 playgrounds and 6,000 gyms have been built.
Leaders said that the government is not only making policies but also ensuring that benefits reach every household in Punjab. They added that the dream of “Rangla Punjab” is becoming a reality with continuous development work.
