Chandigarh— Haryana Health, Medical Education, Research and AYUSH Minister, Arti Singh Rao on Thursday dedicated various development projects worth around Rs. 2.86 crore aimed at strengthening healthcare services in Gurugram district to the public. Pataudi MLA, Bimla Chaudhary was also present on the occasion.

The Health Minister said that since Gurugram is the most populous district of Haryana, healthcare services are being continuously expanded there. She said that keeping in view the increasing population and rapid urbanization, the government is consistently working towards strengthening healthcare infrastructure so that better, accessible, and quality medical facilities can be provided to the public. Through new hospital buildings, sub-health centres, Block Public Health Units, and modern medical facilities, the reach of healthcare services is being continuously strengthened in both rural and urban areas.

She said that under the leadership of Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, the state government is bringing historic changes in the health sector. The government’s objective is to ensure timely and better healthcare facilities for every citizen. With this aim, special focus is being laid on expanding health infrastructure, ensuring availability of modern equipment, and improving the quality of medical services. She further said that Gurugram is the district in the state where the highest number of sub-centres have been established, enabling people in rural areas to access primary healthcare services near their homes.

Arti Singh Rao said that several new development projects are also in the pipeline to expand healthcare services and provide better medical facilities to the public in Gurugram. She informed that a new Primary Health Centre (PHC) will be established in the Baghnakhi area of the district, while a new Sub Health Centre is proposed in Ghamroj village. These projects will further strengthen healthcare facilities in rural areas.

The Health Minister said that special focus has been given in the current financial year’s budget to further strengthen healthcare infrastructure in Gurugram district. In this regard, eight new sub-centres will be established in the district. In addition, three new Primary Health Centres (PHCs) will be set up at Ransika, Reetha, and Sidhrawali. She said that with the establishment of these institutions, a large population of nearby areas will benefit from improved healthcare services.
