Health Minister Arti Singh Rao Holds Meeting with Health Supervisors and ASHA Workers’ Union Representatives

Directs Officers to Resolve All Grievances within Stipulated Time Frame

Chandigarh: Haryana Health Minister, Arti Singh Rao, on Wednesday held a meeting in Chandigarh with representatives of the Multipurpose Health Supervisors (Male/Female) and the ASHA Workers’ Union. The primary objective of the meeting was to hear in detail the concerns, long-pending demands and practical challenges faced by these frontline healthcare workers and to ensure their resolution.

Additional Chief Secretary, Health, Dr Sumita Misra, Mission Director, National Health Mission Haryana, R.S. Dhillon, Director, National Health Mission, Dr Virender Yadav, along with several other senior officers of the department, were also present on the occasion.

During the meeting, the union representatives presented their demands and highlighted the issues faced by the employees. The Health Minister listened to the concerns raised by the employees and directed the officers to address all legitimate demands on a priority basis within a specified timeframe.

She said that Multipurpose Health Supervisors and ASHA workers play a vital role in strengthening healthcare services in the state, as they work directly with people at the grassroots level and ensure that the benefits of various health schemes reach the intended beneficiaries. Therefore, safeguarding the interests of these employees and providing them with a better working environment remain among the government’s priorities, said Ms. Arti Singh Rao.

The Minister directed the officers present at the meeting to act promptly on the issues raised by the union representatives and to expedite processing of the related files so we can achieve positive outcomes within the prescribed time frame.
