Chandigarh: On the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti, the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) launched the ‘GVP-Free Campaign’ in Gurugram under “Swachhata Hi Seva 2026”. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday inspected the GVP-free site developed by the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram near the DHBVN Colony on Mehrauli Road and formally launched the campaign.

In his message, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini emphasised that cleanliness should not be limited to government arrangements and that active participation of citizens is equally important. He said that the government can provide systems and facilities and make use of modern technology and resources, but segregating waste generated from households and institutions is the responsibility of every citizen.
