Chandigarh: Haryana is set to join the nationwide Seva Sankalp Abhiyan from September 17 to October 17, marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25-year journey of public service and taking forward the resolve of Viksit Bharat through public participation. The month-long campaign will begin across the State today with the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ programme, with citizens participating enthusiastically and expressing their gratitude towards service, dedication and social responsibility.

Through the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ programme, efforts are being made to connect different sections of society with service-oriented activities. On the occasion, diyas will be lit at identified locations and major project sites, while beneficiaries will also light diyas along with their families.

Nayab Singh Saini said that the objective of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan is to ensure active participation of society in service-oriented activities. Therefore, every programme should be meticulously planned at the administrative level, and the campaign should be effectively implemented at the village, block, district and State levels.
