Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, inaugurated an eye screening and anaemia testing camp organised jointly by the Health and Education Departments at Model Senior Secondary School, Police Line Ambala as a part of ongoing Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. Former Minister, Aseem Goel Naneola, was also present on the occasion.

Appreciating the initiative, the Chief Minister said that the camp would benefit students, particularly girl students. He said that girls found to be anaemic would be provided medicines as advised by doctors to address anaemia. On the occasion, the Chief Minister also distributed nutrition kits to girl students.
Former Minister, Aseem Goel said that students whose eyes were examined at the camp were also provided spectacles free of cost as advised by doctors. He said that under the Anaemia-Mukt Campaign, the Health Department would conduct haemoglobin (Hb) tests of children and adolescent girls in all schools. Following the tests, they would also be provided information about nutritious diet and measures to prevent anaemia.
