Chandigarh: Haryana Government employees and pensioners seeking to avail Leave Travel Concession (LTC) benefits will have to strictly adhere to the prescribed time limits, with the government making it clear that claims submitted after expiry of the relevant block period will not be admissible unless specifically permitted under the existing rules.
The Chief Secretary’s Office, in a communication dated September 17, 2026, issued the clarification after various departments, boards, corporations and public sector undertakings sought guidance on cases where employees or pensioners had failed to submit the required LTC application or claim within the prescribed block period but sought to claim the benefit after the period had expired.
The government has also placed the responsibility on competent authorities to ensure that LTC applications and claims are submitted and processed strictly within the prescribed time limits and conditions under the applicable rules.
