Govt Announces Immediate Disbursement of Pending Gratuity, Leave Encashment

Shimla: On the directive of the Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the state government has issued orders to release immediately remaining 30 percent gratuity and leave encashment arrears of Class-IV employees who have retired or died in harness between 1st January, 2016 to 31st January, 2022.

An official spokesperson said here today the state government has already paid 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th installments of interim relief and 12 installments of dearness allowance on the basic pension and basic family pension during the period and may be adjusted against the pension/ family pension arrears. He said that concerned pension disbursing authorities have been asked to ensure that following this release, the gratuity and leave encashment arrears of such Class-IV employees should be zero.
