Governor presides over meditation discourse programme by renowned spiritual speaker Sister Shivani

Shimla: Governor Kavinder Gupta presided over the meditation discourse by renowned spiritual speaker Sister Shivani in Shimla, today. The programme was organised by the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya.

Speaking on the occasion, the Governor praised the Brahma Kumaris for their valuable contribution for promoting spiritual awareness, moral values, inner peace and the welfare of society. He said that for many years, the organization has played an important role in encouraging positive thinking, self-confidence and value-based living.

The Governor said that in today’s fast-paced world, many people experience stress, anxiety and dissatisfaction while chasing material success. He said that the Brahma Kumaris help people develop self-awareness through meditation, self-reflection and a balanced way of life. He said that such efforts are essential for creating a peaceful and harmonious society.

Appreciating Sister Shivani’s contribution, Shri Gupta said that her simple, practical and inspiring messages have positively influenced millions of people in India and around the world. He said, ‘Sister Shivani’s teachings remind us that true happiness does not depend on external circumstances. It comes from our thoughts, values and attitude towards life. This message is especially relevant in today’s busy world.

The Governor said that Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishva Vidyalay has helped raise awareness about important issues such as family relationships, effective communication, mental health, emotional well-being, self-empowerment and positive thinking. He said that young people, in particular, can learn valuable lessons from the teachings and lead lives based on confidence, discipline and strong moral values.

Emphasising the importance of spirituality, the Governor said that people who are peaceful and strong from within are better able to contribute positively to society and nation-building. He said that spirituality encourages harmony, tolerance, compassion and a sense of shared responsibility.

Earlier, Sister Shivani honoured the Governor on the occasion. The Governor also honoured Sister Shivani by presenting her Himachali cap and shawl. BK Sunita Behan from Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, Panthghati welcomed the Governor on the occasion. Chief Justice Himachal Pradesh High Court Justice Gurmeet Singh Sandhawalia, other prominent people, devotees and people from various walks of life were also present on the occasion.
