LUDHIANA: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab Media Head and Chief Spokesperson of Nasha Mukti Morcha Baltej Pannu on Wednesday visited an anti-drug crusader undergoing treatment at Mohan Dai Hospital after being attacked by individuals involved in drug peddling. He met the injured activist and their family, expressing solidarity and assuring them of full support from the Punjab Government.
Pannu said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is waging a relentless and multi-dimensional war against drug peddlers and smugglers. He stated that the campaign ‘Yudh Nashean Virudh’ has entered its most decisive phase, with the government determined to eliminate the drug menace completely from the state. He also assured the family of continuous assistance during the activist’s recovery.

Issuing a stern warning, Pannu said drug peddlers must leave Punjab or be ready to face strict and uncompromising action. He added that the government has intensified its crackdown through large-scale arrests, attachment of properties, convictions under the NDPS Act, and active participation of around 1.5 lakh Nasha Mukti Morcha volunteers supporting the state’s mission to make Punjab drug-free.
