Chandigarh/ Tarn Taran: Punjab Cabinet Minister and AAP State President Aman Arora strongly condemned the killing of Jarmal Singh, the Sarpanch of Valtoha Sandhuan village in Tarn Taran. Visiting the grieving family, he assured them that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab Government stands firmly with them during this difficult time. “Those who have committed this heinous crime, and whoever stands behind them—whether the goons or their masters—will not be spared,” he warned. Arora described the deceased as a selfless leader of impeccable character, who served his village and surrounding areas with dedication.
Highlighting the state government’s commitment to a crime-free Punjab, Arora stated that strict instructions have been issued to the Punjab Police to apprehend all involved in the murder. He held past regimes accountable for fostering gangsterism over the last decade, emphasizing that his government provides no protection to criminals, drug peddlers, or gangsters. Arora also called for enhanced cooperation from the Central Government, particularly in extraditing fugitives operating from other states or abroad, to completely uproot the network of organized crime.
He added that the killing of the Sarpanch is not just an attack on an individual but an attack on peace and law and order in the state. “The Punjab Government will not rest until every person involved in this crime and the wider network of violence is brought to justice,” Arora affirmed.
