Ayodhya: Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor has officially acquired a premium plot of land in Ayodhya within an exclusive development project spearheaded by the House of Abhinandan Lodha. The property, spanning 2,134 square feet, was purchased for an estimated value of 3.31 crore rupees. This transaction is situated within The Sarayu, an expansive 75-acre luxury development located along the scenic banks of the Sarayu river. The upcoming property will feature high-end amenities, including a state-of-the-art clubhouse and a five-star hotel managed by The Leela, offering a premium lifestyle experience in the historically significant city.
The actor, who is preparing to portray Lord Ram in an upcoming major cinematic adaptation of the Ramayana, expressed a deep personal connection to the holy city. He stated that he felt chosen by Ayodhya to make this investment, viewing the land as a vital addition to his family’s legacy. Kapoor emphasised that the city is a critical component of the cultural fabric of the nation and praised the real estate firm for providing a transparent and entirely digital purchasing process that made the acquisition seamless.
Abhinandan Lodha, the chairman of the real estate firm, noted that the city is currently experiencing a profound cultural and spiritual resurgence. He highlighted that Kapoor’s investment is indicative of a broader trend among discerning buyers who view the location not merely through an emotional lens, but as a strategic and forward-thinking destination. This surge in premium real estate interest perfectly aligns with a massive boom in local tourism. According to government estimates, following the construction of the Ram temple, visitor numbers in the region skyrocketed from approximately 5.75 crore to an astounding 23 crore in the first half of 2025 alone, transforming the area into a major centre for both spiritual seekers and strategic investors.
