Mumbai: Actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas is set to appear on stage as a presenter at the upcoming 98th Academy Awards, the organisers confirmed on Friday. The global star will be part of a group of prominent personalities chosen to present awards during the prestigious ceremony.
According to a statement released by executive producer and showrunner Raj Kapoor along with executive producer Katy Mullan, Chopra Jonas will join a lineup of well-known figures from the entertainment industry who will hand out awards across different categories.
Among the presenters announced alongside her are Will Arnett, Robert Downey Jr., Anne Hathaway, Paul Mescal and Gwyneth Paltrow. The organisers said the ceremony will feature a wide range of film industry talent participating in the event.
Several presenters had already been revealed earlier. Those include Adrien Brody, Javier Bardem, Kieran Culkin, Chris Evans, Chase Infiniti, Mikey Madison, Demi Moore, Kumail Nanjiani, Maya Rudolph and Zoe Saldaña.
The organisers also indicated that more celebrities will be confirmed in the coming days as preparations continue for the awards ceremony.
The Academy Awards, widely regarded as one of the most significant events in global cinema, recognise excellence in filmmaking and acting across multiple categories. Each year the ceremony features a star-studded roster of presenters who take the stage to announce winners and celebrate achievements in the film industry.
