Unidentified Man Dies by Suicide at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, Police Launch Probe

New Delhi— A man allegedly shot himself dead at Delhi’s historic Jantar Mantar on Monday, prompting immediate police action and a full-scale investigation into the incident.

According to Delhi Police, the man’s identity has not yet been established. Officers quickly reached the site and cordoned off the area to prevent public access while forensic teams began collecting evidence.

“He is yet to be identified. Police personnel are present at the spot, and the scene has been cordoned off,” a senior police official told PTI, adding that the body will be sent for post-mortem after completing all legal formalities.

Authorities are currently verifying the exact circumstances that led to the suicide. “A case has been registered and further investigation is underway,” the officer said.

The incident drew attention from passersby and commuters in the central Delhi area, with police maintaining strict security at the location.
