Delhi: Flight operations at New Delhi faced disruptions after sudden adverse weather conditions affected air traffic, prompting IndiGo to issue an advisory for travellers.

The airline informed passengers that changing weather patterns, including heavy rainfall and atmospheric instability, have impacted schedules, leading to possible delays and rescheduling of flights. Officials said teams are continuously monitoring the situation to restore normal operations once conditions improve.

Passengers have been advised to stay updated on their flight status through the airline’s official website and mobile application before leaving for the airport. IndiGo also urged travellers to plan for additional travel time, as both air traffic and road movement may be affected due to the weather.

According to the India Meteorological Department, the national capital is currently experiencing a short spell of unstable weather, which could persist for some time. These conditions are likely to continue affecting flight operations in the immediate future.

Airport authorities have indicated that delays may continue if weather conditions do not improve quickly. However, forecasts suggest that the situation may stabilise in the coming days, with partly cloudy skies expected before clearer weather sets in early next week.

Airlines have reiterated that passenger safety remains the top priority, requesting cooperation and patience from travellers during the disruption.
