Several Injured in Explosion Near Red Fort Metro Station; Victims Rushed to LNJP Hospital

New Delhi— Several people were injured after a powerful explosion rocked the area near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station on Monday evening. According to sources, multiple casualties have been brought to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Hospital for treatment.

Eyewitnesses reported hearing a loud explosion, followed by flames engulfing multiple cars within minutes. Firefighters rushed to the spot soon after receiving the alert and managed to bring the blaze under control. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far.

Officials from the Fire Department said the cause of the explosion is still under investigation. Police have cordoned off the entire area, while a forensic team has reached the site to collect evidence. Nearby CCTV footage is also being reviewed to determine what led to the incident.

Authorities confirmed that a detailed probe is underway to ascertain whether the explosion was accidental or caused by foul play.
