Patna, Bihar: The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has finalized its seat-sharing arrangement for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal (United) will each contest 101 seats. Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (Ram) [LJP (R)] will field candidates on 29 seats. Meanwhile, Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustan Awam Morcha (HAM) and Upendra Kushwaha’s Rashtriya Lok Janata Dal (RLM) have been allocated 6 seats each.

Looking back at the 2020 Bihar assembly elections, BJP contested 110 seats and secured victory in 74 constituencies. JD(U) had contested 115 seats and won 43. The current seat-sharing reflects a more balanced approach between the NDA allies as they prepare for the polls.
