Chandigarh: Haryana Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda said that the State Government is continuously working to strengthen and modernise the infrastructure of government schools across the state. As part of this initiative, 250 PM SHRI schools in Haryana are being developed with special focus on libraries, green campuses, digital classrooms, smart classrooms and state-of-the-art laboratories.
The Education Minister was chairing a review meeting with senior officers of the Education Department at his official residence in Chandigarh on Monday. Detailed discussions were held on the transformation of schools, expansion of basic facilities and promotion of sports activities.
To achieve this long-term goal, preparations are being initiated at the grassroots level, beginning with schools. Under this initiative, high-quality sports equipment will be provided to players in government schools across the state. Sports equipment will be distributed according to local sporting interests and requirements so that budding sportspersons can receive proper training and resources from an early age.
