Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann today reviewed the state’s ongoing efforts to contain the spread of diseases among humans and animals in flood-affected districts.
During the meeting with senior officials from the Health and Family Welfare Department, the CM stressed the urgent need to accelerate relief operations and provide timely medical assistance to affected residents. Officials were also instructed to ensure proper drainage of stagnant and contaminated water from fields and villages surrounding the impacted areas.
Highlighting the importance of swift action, the CM underscored that delivering relief during this crisis is a top priority. “Our government remains committed to protecting public health and ensuring that relief reaches those who need it most,” he said.
