Ahmedabad: Global Punjabi sensation Diljit Dosanjh brought London’s iconic Wembley Stadium to a standstill on Saturday night during a high-octane stop on his Aura World Tour, dropping a massive surprise for his Indian fanbase. Mid-concert, the singer-actor officially announced his next milestone show: a concert at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on November 21, 2026.

Addressing a roaring, packed crowd at Wembley, Diljit gave a nod to British rock band Coldplay’s past record-breaking run at the venue before issuing a proud challenge of his own.

“The biggest stadium is in India—Narendra Modi Stadium. Ek gore group ne waha pe sell out kar diya tha. Respect for them, bohot mubarkan. India mein stadium ho, aur Punjabi udhar na ho, yeh toh phir ho nahi sakta,” Diljit declared to wild applause, before locking in the November date.

Historic Return to Gujarat

The upcoming show marks Diljit’s ambitious return to Ahmedabad following his wildly popular Dil-Luminati India Tour in late 2024, which saw him play 14 sold-out shows across 13 cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chandigarh. His last performance in Ahmedabad took place on November 17, 2024.

By targeting the 132,000-capacity Narendra Modi Stadium—the largest cricket stadium in the world—Diljit is aiming to set a monumental milestone for Indian and Punjabi live music history. Official ticketing details, pricing tiers, and pre-sale windows for the November 21, 2026 concert are expected to be announced by event organizers in the coming weeks.
