Bhandara: At least eight people, including three children, were killed after an SUV collided with a truck in Maharashtra’s Bhandara district early Friday morning, police said.
The accident took place at around 4 am between Manegaon and Pimpalgaon in Lakhni taluka.
According to police, the victims were travelling in a Bolero from Raipur in Chhattisgarh to Nagpur when their vehicle crashed into an Eicher truck.
Five Adults, Three Children Killed In Bhandara Accident
A police official at the accident site said all eight people killed in the crash were occupants of the Bolero.
The victims included five adults and three children. Further details about their identities were not immediately available.
The SUV was travelling towards Nagpur via National Highway 53 when the collision occurred.
Accident Took Place Around 4 AM
The fatal crash was reported in the early hours of Friday on the stretch between Manegaon and Pimpalgaon.
Police reached the spot following the accident and began further proceedings.
