AMRITSAR — Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Harjinder Singh Dhami clarified on Thursday that the live Gurbani telecast from Sri Darbar Sahib in Amritsar is strictly governed by established rules and regulatory frameworks. Addressing a press conference in Amritsar, the SGPC chief emphasized that broadcasting sacred gurbani is a deeply religious matter, cautioning against political interference and public misrepresentation regarding broadcast feed rights.

Dhami addressed ongoing discussions surrounding broadcast accessibility, stating that no entity or individual is permitted to independently capture or redistribute the live video feed without proper authorization and adherence to institutional guidelines. He reiterated that the committee remains fully committed to maintaining the sanctity and structured dissemination of the sacred telecasts across global platforms.

In response to queries regarding independent broadcast infrastructure, Dhami disclosed that the SGPC has submitted formal applications to the Union Government to secure permissions for launching its dedicated satellite channel. He noted that the organization is awaiting final regulatory approvals from central authorities in New Delhi, reaffirming that current streaming arrangements will continue under strict compliance with existing committee protocols.
