Ayodhya: The Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA) has granted an additional week to Supriya Mishra, wife of Ram Temple donation case accused Lav Kush Mishra, to submit documents related to her under-construction house in Ayodhya’s Saadatganj area.
ADA Secretary Rajesh Mishra said Supriya was originally asked to furnish the required documents by July 29 to establish the legality of the construction. However, she sought more time on Thursday, stating that she was still collecting the necessary paperwork. The authority has now extended the deadline by one week.
The development comes after the ADA issued a notice to Supriya Mishra on July 2 over alleged unauthorised construction of the house registered in her name.
According to ADA sources, the property is located in Banvirpur village under Sohawal tehsil. While the land was purchased in Supriya Mishra’s name, construction allegedly began without obtaining mandatory approval from the development authority.
The alleged Ram Temple donation embezzlement case surfaced in early June, following which the Uttar Pradesh government constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) on June 13 to probe the allegations.
After the SIT submitted its preliminary report on June 23, an FIR was registered on June 25. Eight people, including Lav Kush Mishra, Avinash Shukla, Anukalp Mishra, Manish Kumar Yadav, Karunesh Pandey, Ramashankar Mishra, Subhash Srivastava and Ramashankar Yadav alias Tinnu Yadav, were subsequently arrested in connection with the case.
The matter is currently being heard by the Supreme Court, which has directed that the investigation continue under a newly constituted SIT.
