Patna: A resident of Bihar’s Kishanganj district, Mohammad Sadaqat, has claimed that local police named him in an official complaint regarding recent demonstrations against the NEET paper leak, despite him residing abroad in Russia for the past four months. Sadaqat raised the issue in a video recorded from Russia, urging law enforcement to verify travel records and clear his name from the police report filed over the July 25 protests in Bahadurganj.
When asked about the video, Kishanganj Superintendent of Police Hari Mohan Shukla stated that individuals with concerns regarding case details could approach police authorities to submit their grievances for review. The police response comes as law enforcement continues processing documentation linked to the widespread demonstrations held across the state last week.
The incident arises alongside broader administrative developments, as the Bihar state government recently announced the formal withdrawal of all complaints and notices issued during the paper leak demonstrations prior to July 26. State home department notifications confirmed that detained individuals would be released following the policy directive, which covers hundreds of persons initially taken into custody during the statewide protest calls.
