UHBVN to Hold Consumer Grievance Hearing for Panchkula Consumers on July 28

Chandigarh: The Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) is committed to ensuring an uninterrupted power supply to consumers and is continuously implementing various consumer-centric initiatives for the speedy redressal of electricity-related grievances.

Sharing more details in this regard, an official spokesperson said that As part of these efforts, the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (Circle Forum), Panchkula, headed by its Chairman and Members, will hold a grievance hearing on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. onwards at the office of the Superintending Engineer, UHBVN, SCO No. 96, First Floor, Sector 5, Panchkula.

The spokesperson said that the hearing will exclusively cover grievances of electricity consumers of Panchkula district. The Forum will hear complaints relating to billing, voltage fluctuations, metering, disconnection and restoration of electricity connections, interruptions in power supply, deficiencies in service efficiency, safety and reliability, and non-compliance with the orders of the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission (HERC).

The spokesperson further shared that, however, the Forum will not entertain cases involving penalties for electricity theft or unauthorised use of electricity under Section 126 and Sections 135 to 139 of the Electricity Act, nor matters relating to inquiries and electrical accidents under Section 161 of the Act. Consumers of Panchkula district are requested to make use of this opportunity to get their electricity-related grievances resolved promptly, said the spokesperson.
