Lucknow; Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Nitin Nabin has announced a massive organisational restructuring of the party’s Uttar Pradesh unit, marking the first major state-level overhaul under his federal leadership. The newly configured team places a strong emphasis on maintaining regional and community balance, strategically aligning the organizational machinery for the crucial assembly elections scheduled for 2027.
The extensive reshuffle features the appointment of 19 vice-presidents, eight general secretaries, and 19 secretaries, alongside a complete replacement of the party chiefs across all six geographical regions of Uttar Pradesh. Among the high-profile advancements, Neeraj Singh, son of Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, has been designated as the state vice-president. Additionally, Ankur Sharma, a close aide to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and television journalist Yatendra Singh have both been inducted into the state leadership structure as secretaries.
Insiders state that the sweeping changes in Uttar Pradesh represent the initial phase of a broader national administrative revamp envisioned by Nabin since assuming the top party post. The announcement has triggered a series of high-level internal deliberations at the party headquarters, with senior leaders arriving to discuss subsequent structural shifts. Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje held a detailed meeting with Nabin on Wednesday, followed by a scheduled meeting with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Thursday, shortly after Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai concluded his organizational brief with the party president.
