Delhi CM Expresses Grief Over Vivek Vihar Fire, Assures Full Support to Victims

Delhi: Rekha Gupta has expressed deep sorrow over the devastating fire incident in Vivek Vihar that claimed nine lives, calling it a heartbreaking tragedy.

In a statement shared on social media, the Chief Minister said she was deeply distressed by the loss of lives and extended her condolences to the bereaved families. She also wished a speedy recovery to those injured, who are currently undergoing treatment at nearby medical facilities.

Gupta stated that senior officials from the administration, along with teams from the Delhi Disaster Management Authority, Delhi Fire Service, and Delhi Police, have been actively engaged in rescue and relief efforts since the incident was reported.

She added that the situation is being closely monitored, and all necessary assistance is being extended to those affected. Local representatives, including the area MLA and municipal councillors, are also supporting operations on the ground.

Reaffirming the government’s commitment, the Chief Minister said the Delhi administration stands firmly with the victims’ families and will continue to provide all possible help during this difficult time.
