New Delhi: A massive security operation was launched at the Delhi Legislative Assembly on Monday, April 13, 2026, after an anonymous email warned of a potential bomb threat on the premises. The threat prompted an immediate multi-agency response, with teams from the Delhi Police, bomb disposal squads, and dog units arriving at the complex shortly after the alert was raised. Fire services were also placed on standby as a precautionary measure to handle any emergency.
Security agencies conducted a thorough “search and sanitization” of the entire Assembly complex to rule out the presence of any explosive devices. During the operation, security around the building was significantly tightened, and access to the premises was restricted.
