Raghav Chadha’s ‘48 Laws of Power’ Post Sparks Buzz Amid AAP Rift

New Delhi: Amid ongoing tensions within the Aam Aadmi Party, Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha returned to social media on Monday with a cryptic post featuring the book The 48 Laws of Power, highlighting its message: “Never outshine your superior.”

In the Instagram post, Chadha is seen seated in his garden reading the book by Robert Greene. A zoomed-in excerpt emphasised the idea of making those in authority feel secure while seeking to impress them.

The post has drawn attention for its timing, with many interpreting it as an indirect reference to his reported differences with AAP convener and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Last week, Chadha was removed as the party’s deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha. Party insiders had alleged that he focused more on self-promotion during parliamentary proceedings and did not adequately target the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Chadha has denied the allegations. His latest post, however, has fuelled speculation that he may be hinting at internal dynamics within the party and the consequences of overshadowing senior leadership.

The 48 Laws of Power, known for drawing lessons from historical figures, outlines strategies for acquiring and maintaining influence. Its central themes include managing perception, exercising patience, and understanding power structures—often presenting power as a calculated and strategic game shaped by human behaviour.
