Islamabad: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will travel to Pakistan on August 21 to co-chair the sixth round of the Pakistan-China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue, just days after his discussions with Indian leaders in New Delhi.

The visit comes at the invitation of Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. Officials in Islamabad said the talks will cover the full spectrum of bilateral relations under the “All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership” and reaffirm mutual support on core national interests.

The dialogue agenda includes boosting economic and trade cooperation, expanding connectivity through the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and reinforcing their shared commitment to regional peace, stability, and development.

According to the Pakistan Foreign Office, the high-level exchanges form part of a regular framework designed to align political, economic, and strategic cooperation between the two sides.

Wang Yi is currently in India for the 24th round of Special Representatives’ talks on the India-China boundary issue, where he is meeting National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, India’s designated representative for the dialogue.
