Capt Amarinder Singh Discharged After Successful Knee Surgery at Fortis Mohali

Mohali: Former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh was discharged from Fortis Hospital Mohali following a successful knee replacement surgery, hospital authorities confirmed on Saturday.

Capt Amarinder Singh had been admitted to the hospital on February 9 for a planned surgical procedure. He underwent a unilateral unicondylar knee replacement on February 10.

The surgery was performed by a team of doctors led by Dr Harsimran Singh, Director of Orthopaedics at the hospital. According to the medical team, the procedure was completed without complications.

Providing details about the operation, Dr Harsimran Singh said the former Chief Minister experienced a smooth intra-operative course and recovered well post-surgery. He added that the patient was able to walk without pain following the procedure and was discharged in a stable and satisfactory condition.

Hospital officials indicated that the recovery process progressed as expected, and no adverse issues were reported during his stay.
