New Delhi: Panic gripped parts of the national capital on Friday morning after at least three schools reported receiving bomb threat emails, prompting swift action by emergency services and police teams.

According to an official from the Delhi Fire Services, the first alert was received around 9:12 am from BT Tamil School, located in central Delhi’s Jhandewalan area. Fire tenders and bomb disposal squads were immediately dispatched to the premises.

Police personnel began a thorough inspection of the campuses, while students and staff were moved to safe zones as a precautionary step. Authorities said standard operating procedures were activated as soon as the emails were flagged.

In a communication sent to parents, one of the affected schools assured that all children had been safely evacuated. The message stated that law enforcement officials were on-site to carry out necessary checks and that classes would resume only after the building was declared secure.

Officials have not disclosed the contents of the emails or whether similar wording was used in all three cases. Cyber teams are examining the origin of the messages as part of the ongoing investigation.

No suspicious object had been found at the time of reporting, but search operations were still underway. Authorities urged parents and residents to remain calm and avoid spreading unverified information as security checks continue.
