Minor Earthquake Jolts Uttarakhand’s Bageshwar, No Damage Reported

Bageshwar: An earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale struck Bageshwar district in Uttarakhand on Tuesday morning, the National Centre for Seismology (NCS) said.

According to the NCS, the tremor occurred at 7:25 am (IST) at a depth of 10 kilometres. The epicentre was located at latitude 29.93 degrees North and longitude 80.07 degrees East. The agency shared the details through a post on X, confirming the location and magnitude of the quake. No reports of damage to property or loss of life have been received so far.

Earlier, on Monday, another mild earthquake measuring 3.0 on the Richter scale was reported in Thoubal district of Manipur. As per the NCS, the quake struck at 4:20 am (IST) at a depth of 45 kilometres, with its coordinates recorded at latitude 24.49 degrees North and longitude 94.02 degrees East.
