Telangana: A tragic road accident claimed the lives of four college students in Telangana during the early hours of Thursday after the car they were travelling in rammed into a roadside tree, police officials confirmed.

The mishap took place between 1 am and 1.30 am near Mirzaguda village, within the jurisdiction of the Mokila police station. The victims, all students aged between 18 and 21, were reportedly returning from an outing when the accident occurred.

According to preliminary findings, the vehicle was being driven at a very high speed when the driver lost control, causing the car to veer off the road and crash into a tree. The force of the collision was so intense that the vehicle was torn into two parts on impact.

Four students died on the spot due to severe injuries, while a fifth occupant, a female student, survived the crash. She sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she is currently receiving treatment.

Police have registered a case and initiated further investigation to ascertain the exact sequence of events leading to the accident. Authorities have once again urged young motorists to exercise caution and avoid overspeeding, especially during late-night travel, to prevent such fatal incidents.
