Chandigarh: The Chandigarh Administration has announced that November 25 will be observed as a public holiday in honor of the 350th Martyrdom Day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. The notification, issued by Home Secretary Mandeep Singh Brar, states that all government offices, boards, corporations, institutions, and industrial establishments under the administration will remain closed.

Authorities have directed every department and affiliated institution to strictly comply with the order. The decision aims to pay tribute to the supreme sacrifice of the ninth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, whose martyrdom is remembered as a profound symbol of courage, faith, and religious freedom.

The Union Territory will observe the holiday to enable citizens to take part in religious gatherings and commemorative events held in remembrance of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s legacy.
