Italy: A shocking incident unfolded in northern Italy after two Sikh men were shot dead outside a gurdwara in the province of Bergamo, raising concerns within the local community.
The attack took place late Friday night near Gurdwara Mata Sahib Kaur Ji, where unidentified assailants reportedly arrived in a vehicle and opened fire, discharging around ten rounds before fleeing the scene.
The victims, identified as Rajinder Singh and Gurmeet Singh, were immediately taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Despite medical efforts, both men succumbed to their injuries.
Rajinder Singh, a resident of Covo, was known for his active involvement in the gurdwara and had previously served in a leadership role. He is survived by three children. Gurmeet Singh, who lived in the Agnadello area of Cremona, was also a devoted community member and leaves behind two children.
Authorities have launched a detailed investigation into the incident. Italian police are examining possible motives, including personal disputes or targeted violence, while also working to identify those responsible for the attack.
