NEW JERSEY — The Federal Bureau of Prisons has revised the release schedule for music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, moving his expected date of departure to April 25, 2028. According to records obtained by E! News, this latest update follows a series of shifts in the 56-year-old rapper’s timeline, which had previously been slated for as late as June 4, 2028. Combs is currently serving a 50-month sentence at the Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution in New Jersey after being convicted on prostitution-related charges.
The Bad Boy Records founder was transferred to the low-security New Jersey facility from New York’s Metropolitan Detention Centre in late October of last year. Since his arrival at Fort Dix, Combs has largely maintained a low profile, though his representatives were forced to address unfounded rumours regarding his conduct behind bars last November. A spokesperson for the artist clarified to People magazine that Combs has not violated any prison regulations, emphasizing that his sobriety and personal discipline remain his top priorities during his period of incarceration.
Recent images published by TMZ showed a visibly greying Combs in standard-issue prison attire, appearing to interact calmly with other inmates. During his emotional sentencing last year, the hip-hop titan expressed deep regret for the lifestyle choices that led to his legal downfall, admitting that he became “lost in his ego” and his own excess. He noted that the most significant cost of his imprisonment has been the inability to remain present for his seven children and his mother. With his release now scheduled for the spring of 2028, Combs has reportedly vowed never to jeopardize his family again while focusing on his continued personal growth.
