Florida: A tragic road accident in Florida has claimed the lives of three people after a truck, reportedly driven by a Punjabi-origin driver, made a sudden and dangerous U-turn, leading to a devastating collision with an oncoming minivan.

According to local authorities, the crash occurred when the truck attempted to take a sharp U-turn across a by-lane. A minivan traveling in the opposite direction was unable to avoid impact and struck the rear portion of the truck with force. The collision crushed the minivan under the heavy vehicle, leaving all three occupants dead on the spot.

The victims have been identified as a 30-year-old male driver, a 37-year-old woman, and a 54-year-old man, police confirmed. Meanwhile, the truck driver and his co-passenger escaped unhurt.

Footage of the accident, captured on camera and now in police custody, has also circulated on social media. The video shows the truck initiating a sudden U-turn, moments before the minivan collides with it. Investigators are reviewing the recording as part of their inquiry into the driver’s negligence.

Following the crash, all northbound lanes remained closed for several hours, causing long traffic snarls in the area. Authorities said the lanes were later reopened after clearance work was completed.

Police have launched a formal investigation but have not disclosed the identity of the truck driver. Officials stated that charges may be filed pending the outcome of the probe.
