New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held telephonic conversations with U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, extending his congratulations on the advancement of the Gaza peace initiative, which has been described as a significant diplomatic milestone in the region.
In his interaction with President Trump, Prime Minister Modi lauded the success of what he termed a “historic Gaza peace plan.” Both leaders reportedly reviewed the progress made in ongoing trade discussions and agreed to maintain regular communication in the coming weeks to further enhance bilateral cooperation.
Later, PM Modi also spoke with Prime Minister Netanyahu, commending Israel’s efforts and the recent achievements under the peace framework. He particularly welcomed the agreement facilitating the release of hostages and the expansion of humanitarian aid for Gaza’s civilians.
During the exchange, the Indian Prime Minister underscored India’s consistent and firm position that terrorism, in any form or manifestation, cannot be justified anywhere in the world.
The twin conversations reflect India’s continued engagement with key global partners on issues of peace, security, and humanitarian welfare, while also emphasizing its long-standing commitment to combating terror and supporting regional stability.
