Snellville – Tevin Hood, widely known in the Southern rap scene as T-Hood, was shot and killed inside his Snellville residence, authorities confirmed.

According to TMZ, the shooting followed a dispute in the neighborhood. Gwinnett County police are treating the incident as a homicide, though the motive remains unclear.

Emergency responders provided on-scene medical aid before transporting the 33-year-old rapper to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. One suspect has been taken into custody and is being questioned.

T-Hood’s mother, Yulanda, told the outlet her son was indeed shot at his home but dismissed claims that a party was underway at the time.

Recognised for hits such as Ready 2 Go, Big Booty, No Secret, and Perculator, T-Hood was a familiar figure in the Southern hip-hop community. He had recently earned the Trendsetter of the Year title at the Black Only Awards 2025.

Fans expressed shock, with many flooding his recent Instagram post—a lighthearted video shared just last week—with messages of grief and prayers.

His girlfriend, Kelsie Frost, daughter of reality star Kirk Frost, shared an emotional tribute on Instagram: “Just come get me baby please… I can’t even type this. I love you papa. I can’t wait to hold you again.”

Music producer Deedotwill, a frequent collaborator, also posted: “We were just on the phone all day. I can’t believe you’re gone. Rest in peace T-Hood. I love you, brother.”

Police investigations into the fatal shooting are ongoing.
