New Delhi: Bharti Airtel is making its postpaid plans costlier by Rs 50 from October 8, 2026, while adding a new benefit aimed at customers who travel abroad.

Under the revamped portfolio, every postpaid SIM will get one free international roaming trip every year. The plans continue to offer unlimited data and calling, spam and fraud protection and bundled entertainment subscriptions.

How Much Will Airtel Postpaid Plans Cost From October 8?

Airtel has increased the monthly rental by Rs 50 across its postpaid portfolio.

The entry-level individual plan will now cost Rs 499 per month, compared with Rs 449 earlier. The two-SIM family plan will cost Rs 749, while the three-SIM option will rise to Rs 1,049.

For four-SIM families, Airtel will offer plans at Rs 1,249 and Rs 1,449, depending on the bundled benefits. The five-SIM family plan will cost Rs 1,799.

Plan Earlier Price New Price
Individual Rs 449 Rs 499
Family of 2 Rs 699 Rs 749
Family of 3 Rs 999 Rs 1,049
Family of 4 Rs 1,199 Rs 1,249
Family of 4 Rs 1,399 Rs 1,449
Family of 5 Rs 1,749 Rs 1,799

The absolute increase is Rs 50 across the slabs, although the percentage increase is higher on the lower-priced plans.

What Is The Free International Roaming Benefit?

The biggest addition is one complimentary international roaming trip every year for each postpaid SIM.

The five-day roaming pack includes 5GB of data, 60 minutes of calls, 25 outgoing SMS and free incoming SMS. Airtel says customers can activate the benefit when they actually need it rather than having it activated automatically.

For family plans, the benefit applies separately to every member covered under the plan.

How Long Is Airtel’s Free Roaming Pack Valid?

The complimentary international roaming pack is valid for five days.

Customers get flexibility over when they activate it, which means the benefit does not have to be used immediately after joining or upgrading to the new plan.

What Other Benefits Do The New Airtel Postpaid Plans Offer?

Apart from international roaming, Airtel is retaining its existing postpaid benefits.

These include unlimited data and calling, Fast Lane technology and network-level protection against spam and fraudulent links.

Depending on the plan, customers can also get subscriptions and services including Amazon Prime, JioHotstar, Xstream Play Premium, Google One, Apple Music, Apple iCloud+ and Netflix.

When Will The New Airtel Postpaid Plans Start?

The revised plans will be available from October 8, 2026.

Existing Airtel customers on prepaid or older postpaid plans can upgrade through the Airtel App or an Airtel store. Customers using another telecom operator can also switch to Airtel Postpaid through the app or stores.

With the change, Airtel is effectively trading a Rs 50 monthly increase for additional bundled benefits, with international roaming becoming the most prominent new addition for customers who travel overseas.
