Mumbai: Former Delhi batter Mithun Manhas was on Sunday elected unopposed as the new President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) during the board’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Mumbai.
Manhas succeeds Roger Binny, who stepped down from the post owing to the BCCI’s age cap rule. Alongside this change, Devajit Saikia and Rajeev Shukla will continue in their roles as Secretary and Vice-President, respectively.
In another key appointment, former India cricketer Raghuram Bhat has been named the new Treasurer of the board.
The new leadership marks a significant shift in BCCI’s administration, with Manhas expected to bring fresh perspectives from his long domestic cricket career and coaching experience.
