Youth Shot Dead in Moga Village, Panic Grips Area After Early-Morning Firing

Moga, Punjab: A shocking incident of violence was reported from Punjab’s Moga district after a young man was shot dead in the early hours of the day at Bhinder Khurd village, triggering fear and tension across the area.

According to initial information, the victim was on his way to work when unidentified assailants travelling in a vehicle opened indiscriminate fire at him. The attack took place as the youth reached the village phirni (peripheral road).

The deceased has been identified as Umarsir Singh Seera, a resident of Bhinder Khurd. He was employed at a Nestlé dairy unit and was reportedly heading for his early-morning duty when the attackers struck.

Eyewitness accounts suggest that the assailants fired nearly 20 to 25 rounds at close range, killing the youth on the spot. After the incident, the attackers fled the scene, leaving the body lying on the road.

Following the murder, a heavy police presence was deployed in the village. Senior police officials reached the spot and began an investigation. The body was sent for post-mortem examination, while efforts are underway to identify the attackers and establish the motive behind the crime.

The brutal killing has created an atmosphere of fear among local residents, who have demanded swift arrests and strict action against those responsible.
