Tarn Taran (Punjab)— The body of a youth who had jumped into the sacred sarovar at Sri Darbar Sahib was recovered on Saturday morning, a day after the incident, officials said. His identity remains unknown as no documents were found on him.

According to authorities, the incident took place on Friday around 2:30 pm on the occasion of Masya. The youth reportedly exited the Diwan Hall and suddenly ran towards the sarovar before jumping into the water, causing panic among devotees present at the shrine.

Divers from Harike were immediately deployed and continued search operations till late evening. However, the youth could not be located before nightfall, forcing officials to suspend the operation. The search resumed early Saturday, when the body was eventually recovered.
