Chandigarh: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal has issued his first public statement following the violent incident at Sri Nanded Sahib, asserting that such attacks will neither intimidate him nor weaken his resolve. Badal made the remarks on Friday after being discharged from a local hospital in Maharashtra, where he had remained under medical observation for approximately 24 hours following treatment for his injuries.

Expressing gratitude for his safety, the former Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab stated that he was protected by the grace and blessings of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, quoting the Gurbani verse, “Jis Ke Sir Upar Tu Swami, So Dukh Kaisa Paavai.” Badal noted that while this marked the second major attempt on his life in recent years, he had never been frightened in the past and would not be deterred now.

Reiterating his party’s political and religious commitment, Badal affirmed that the Shiromani Akali Dal remains steadfast in its mission to serve Punjab and the Panth, adding that the leadership is prepared to make any sacrifice required for the community’s welfare. He also extended his sincere thanks to party workers, supporters, and well-wishers across the globe who offered prayers for his speedy recovery following the confrontation.
